2014 -  HOLOGRAPHIC SHOW

CLIENT: Dubai's RTA

PRODUCTIONPrisme International

This Project was created and realised by Prisme International. As part of the creative team who delivered the project, I was in charge of the creative production.
The 6 mins 3D “holographic” show has been the main attraction of the world record breaking event that launched the Dubai tram on November 11, 2014.
The show was broken down into 4 acts invoking the basic categorisations of Illusionary.
1 optical illusion - fake video mapping on the holographic tram to enhance its design;
2 transformation - exploded view integrated with infographics to highlight the tech specs of the tram;
3 teleportation - journey following the tram across the city integrated with live action and infographics elements to highlight the different locations:
4 intersection - a fly through and a cross-section to reveal the interiors and the leisure of travelling with the tram.

OVERVIEW
Bucky is a light mapping installation playing with lights and reflections to enhance the lines of the New Mini Cooper in occasion of its 2014 italian launch.
The struts of a 30' Geodesic Dome has been covered by LED stripes connected to DMX Dimmers and controlled b an ODE by MadMapper. Using MadLight we mapped the geometry of the Led stripes on computer and played with them using video loops and Quartz Composer audio interactive compositions.
The sound has been divided into 4 channels and each channel assigned to a specific area of the dome, that is a group of LED Stripes.

TRIVIA
Bucky is the nickname of buckminsterfullerene, a spherical fullerene molecule taking its name from Buckminster Fuller, an American architect, systems theorist, author, designer, inventor, and futurist who popularized the geodesic dome.

VIDEOCTRLROOM

2006/2010 - VIDEO INSTALLATION

PRODUCTION
Man-at-Sea

OVERVIEW
videoCTRLroom is the information sorting center of the urban video control system. A postmodern panoptic where people discovers to be watched and watchers, integral part of a well-oiled mechanism of oppression.
The audience is filmed by hidden infrared web-cams set just in front of the building, at the entrance, on the staircase and in the same room of the installation. The images of the audience alternates with noise effects and other videos discovered and stolen from the webcams of unaware Chatroulette users. The video inputs are managed through VVVV which send them to the installation: a PVC tubes structure embedding 4 or 6 screens made up with the same tubes.

BORN HOLMER

VIDEO ART

1|0|100000 from born holmer

Pieces of visuals created for live performances (theatre, dance, music) and art exhibitions around Europe using Born Holmer's stage name.

From the very beginning of this research in videoart and visuals it moved impressive steps to create a personal poetry by images.

A visionary dream made with just few special effects and a very basic plot, allowing an absolute freedom to viewer’s imagination.

GLITCH & SCAPES

2016GLITCH ART

PERSONAL PROJECT

COLLECTION

An aesthetic journey towards the extreme boundaries of pixel manipulation, somewhere in between cyberpunk and postmodern pastiche.
The creative process consists of three distinct but equivalent passages. First rule: bump into a reality glitch. A photographic research to find in the contemporary world shreds of decadent futurism. Second rule: destroy a reality glitch. A pinch of digital distortion using a hacked piece of Processing code to sort the pixels of the captured image. Third rule: recreate a glitched reality. A frustrating attempt to give it a sense by layering up and stretching loose pixels together.
